New Lian- Li PC-A10B

i'm hoping this case will still have ME going in 4yrs. 2PSUs, 5 HDDs, 7 5 1/4 bays, tons of internal space, excellent build quality.

Cant wait till it comes in the morning!
 
Its all together, i'll try and get some picys later. I forgot how much more of a chore moving a system from one case to another is than assembling one from new bits...... you have to take APART your old comp before you can put together your new one.

Damm nice case, i love the HDD silencing! V effective, easy to install, and much better than my Eclipse. Put CD stealth covers over my DVD drives, and my Kama Bay has been stripped of its rubbishy filter, and now i can finally run 2 DVD drives, a fan controler, a card reader, AND a 120mm front bay. Amazing case qualty though, instalation was easy, though my Ultra-120 had about 5mm of clearance when shutting the motherboard tray (and is right up against the top fan, which isnt neccecarily a BAD thing!), front door is very sleek and i love the closing "clunk".

Now i just need my Sharkoon Silent Eagle 2000s to come with my fan controler, and it'll be perfect.... the white on black look is going to be interesting.

You didn't manage to mount the HS facing the rear of the case did you?
 
oh HECK no, not with my DFI RD600, i couldn't even do that in my Eclipse! Both the top of the case, and my HR-05 get in the way of that orientation.

there is literally 12-15mm of room between the top fan and the HSF, but the good news is that at least 80% of the fan is pointing straight at the HSF.

I am awed by the HDD silencing, my Raptor can barely be heard over the fans, which are pretty quiet, and will be even quieter when my Sharkoons arrive to replace them. Even the "seek" clicks/crunches are much reduced, which really annoyed the pants off me with the Eclipse. Heck, at this rate i wont BOTHER with a Silentmaxx enclosure.
 
Sorry to hijack this thread, but I'm trying to justify the price to myself... So :D does the side fan help with cooling the GPU? I'll be putting a 8800GTX in there!

It does because if I put my hand behind the case I can sure as hell feel the hot air being expelled from my GTX.
