Don't get me wrong of course he will be very important for years to come... but it just seems like most of the players are 'untouchable' as this squad once again suggests..
As has been said several times now, he's playing a lot of the World Cup squad, and then he is going to sub them most probably at half time.

I can't wait for Gerrard/Lampard/Terry to retire...get some new players in there. We really need to do a total revamp. Good to see Adam Johnson playing though.

Indeed those 3 have had a decade to show they're up to the task and bar the odd flash have been a disappointment for the vast majority of those 10 years.
Time to slowly phase them out over the next couple of years, can't really dump them off the bat need to test out some younger players alongside them first.
Well who else is there to try out that we haven't already? Milner we have, it's only a friendly. Anything but Walcott anyway....shame he'll probably go and score a hattrick now.
