Not one game he owns beats the top range Xbox360 titles, when his PC is pushing games I can currently play, then I will admit as such.

Here is me thinking the PC was getting console ports... Halo 2, Shadowrun, Tomb Raider Legend, Tomb Raider Anniversary etc...KNiVES said:I am very sorry to go this way again, but those who believe the 360 can produce games graphically on par with PCs equivelant to my signature and beyond are sadly wrong. The 360 has seen reduced ports and PC games from two to three years ago. Far Cry, Oblivion, as well as later games such as Command and Conquer 3 goes a long way in showing that the 360 has nowhere near the capabilities of a high end gaming PC. Single specification or not, that doesn't matter. PCs are not horribly unoptimized beasts that refuse to run any games thrown at them if they exteed more than 5 years or so in a gap. People are making far too many ignorant assumptions and making silly arguments without remembering that the guy they're trying to rebutt is somebody who actually has both systems.

Far Cry is also an original game, not a remake of the PC game.
As for having both systems... What are you on about? Are you making an assumption that I do not run a good PC too?
Okay, so DiRT, a game that literally came out today is better than its console equivalent, well done. It only took 18 months. But I could play DiRT without a Mouse and Keyboard, sat on a couch, on a large TV or monitor at 1080p. Now who is smug?.
Microsoft dont get enough credit for the Xbox360 hardware, all you ever hear about is fails, fact is, they put a console out in December 2005 at a price of £150 that will outstrip ANY graphics card on the market for anywhere under 2 to 3 times the cost alone. That is without anything else.
PC gamers can be as smug as they like, it can only be used as a facade to hide the fact they have spent a fortune to match a console, only to be in a position having to play games at a desk, only they to have to download driver after driver and patches to play games correctly, meanwhile having to optimize all the graphics and audio settings. Meanwhile, any Xbox360 user can set their audio to 5.1 and HD mode on graphics and have it run beautifully.
Anyway, I am getting sidetracked now, my point still stands.
Far Cry came out on 360 but didn't look as good as the PC version? Good god that must've been coded crap or something.KNiVES said:I am very sorry to go this way again, but those who believe the 360 can produce games graphically on par with PCs equivelant to my signature and beyond are sadly wrong. Yes the 360 is a great system, the best of the lot (including PCs) but people give its hardware too much credit. Even moreso towards the PS3. If you want REAL graphical power, forget it, you're not gonna find it in the console world. Leave that to us smug PC gamer lot.
Says it was made crap to me then as Rainbow Six Vegas, GRAW1/2 and quite a few other 360 games look far better than the likes of Far Cry.KNiVES said:Well, the fact that it was an individual effort made purely for the console to cater to its strengths, yet did not look anywhere near as good as the 2004 PC game says a lot.
um the 360 controller is literally plug and play on a PC and you can plug and play a PC on any TV too so this argument is pointlessNokkonWud said:Okay, so DiRT, a game that literally came out today is better than its console equivalent, well done. Actually, I am a games player. I will not be drawn into one catagory or the other. I have all 3 consoles and an up-to-date PC so I can play all the games that are released.KNiVES said:This post proves you know nothing. It's a real shame I seem to be the only PC gamer on the console forum, but lucky for you, as your arguments would be ripped into little bits! I really can't be bothered to try though, you're obviously firmly entrenched in lalala-land and I need to go out for a meal with mates in half an hour.
Wasn't made by Crytek, it was also made for the Xbox (1) and later ported over the Xbox360. That's why it looks like an Xbox (1) title.KNiVES said:Well, the fact that it was an individual effort made purely for the console to cater to its strengths, yet did not look anywhere near as good as the 2004 PC game says a lot.
360 controller on PC isn't standard. Nor is a PC connection to "any" TV. I can't Connect my PC to my Sony KDEP-42XS1.Posty said:um the 360 controller is literally plug and play on a PC and you can plug and play a PC on any TV too so this argument is pointless
maybe i should have said decent TV instead of anyNokkonWud said:360 controller on PC isn't standard. Nor is a PC connection to "any" TV. I can't Connect my PC to my Sony KDEP-42XS1.
