New Matrix Movie Rumours Surface

I think the flying killed it in 2nd and 3rd and the neo vs agent smith flight scenes were not good to watch, i thought they were stupid.

The first one is still good to watch with non stop action. The second one is ok but did not live up to first one. Third one was boring compared to the first one.

Its possible to do a sequal by just saying the machines rebooted the matrix as there was many hints at it all being a repeat or that there had been many matrix versions before it. With the resistance on the outside the machines reboot the matrix again with the hacked code...

True, some of the CGI stuff looks like 3DMark 2001. Though he was flying at the end of the first.

It was great seeing that back in the day.

I thought the first was great, the second was good and the 3rd was utter pump.

Will be interesting to see where they go with this, but I don't hold much hope.

I'm glad they made the 2nd and 3rd movies. They really salvaged the trainwreck that was the first movie. Without the final two the first just makes no sense.

Hopefully the 4th continues onward.

Personally, I hope they do not make a prequel. I'd rather they left the whole 'how the Matrix started' concept alone, as I feel it would damage the ambiguity of what the first film started even more. The sequels explained too much, and not in a good way. It doesn't need explaining.

Some of the animatrix episodes of how the Matrix came about were very i, robot - would like to see a movie covering that time period.

In fact thinking about it the i, robot movie could easily have lead into the Matrix world.

I know they continued the story a bit in the Matrix online - not sure exactly what happened or if they will stick to that if there is a new movie.

I watched the first movie last night, based on this thread :D

"We've been watching you for.... some time now, Mr Anderson".

They will. This is Hollywood. Milk it for every last penny until the point it's so bad it's canned. Then reboot it again.

Look how we're getting Mrs Doubtfire 2. https://movies.yahoo.com/news/mrs-doubtfire-sequel-works-fox-2000-exclusive-050000207.html
