How are you getting on with the M32Q?M32Q ordered! Can finally get rid of all these monitor review tabs and get youtube suggesting more than monitor reviews!
How are you getting on with the M32Q?
Jusst got it setup today, i'm not gonna lie, its huge, as I have to have a work monitor next to it too! I'm 99% planning to now get 2 z 27" for PC Usage and replace the 32" `1080p tv with the M32Q which will the be a TV (Firestick), XBOX Series X and 3rd PC screen.
Absolutely no bad points about the screen, but I think I underestimated the size of it when it is RIGHT IN YOUR FACE!
So now I need to look at 27" screens again.....anyone?
Jeez, what changed your mind? I think 32" is going to be too big for me as I sit about arms length away at the moment.i take this back 100%! Its it now completely normal, and am about to order a 2nd one!
My eyes are crap!Jeez, what changed your mind? I think 32" is going to be too big for me as I sit about arms length away at the moment.
So are mine at 57My eyes are ****!
Hey,I#ll have a think on that, right now I'm just so stuck on indecisions regarding the PC monitor, even though the spec is very high on the new PC (I7 13700KF/7900 XTX 24GB/32GB/NVME Drives) i'm just worried in 4k there will still be some performance hiccups at times, thinking I should just click buy on the Gigabyte M32Q and stop overthinking!
Hey,
To help you out, i change my Monitor so often, wanted to share some of my experiences in last 10 years ive had good 15+ monitors. this might be a ramble. be bear in mind
10+ on odd years ago when 1080p was main stream for gamers
I moved to 1440p it was amazing but very hard on the system
few years later i moved back to 1080p and whilst it was less clear I knew i could run everything maxed
by this point 1440p was starting to become more common for normal people
I went from 1080p to 1600p (32') again, although i had i think sli 280s at the time not everything ran smooth
i went back to 1440P (120hz) & loved it again much easier to run
went through bunch of 1440p 120/144/165hz monitors
then jump to 34 3440x1400 144hz which was awesome
then moved to 4K 60hz
then 4K 120hz (lg cx)
now im looking back at 3440x1440
at one point i had 4K 1440p 165hz & uw at the same time
i always had the highest end cards
6600GT SLI
280gtx sli
980 Slis
1080
3090
so in summary high resolution is awesome, however from my experience,
- be fully aware if you go down the 4K/8K hole you will always need top line GPU to use those high sliders to get 60hz+ (unless of course your happy on medium)
- be mindful your always be thinking could get a new GPU to play x game even higher settings
- you don't know what happen in the future you might not be able to afford the next monitor/gpu down the line
or you could buy lower resolution know you can run everything at max & have longer longevity
i'm much older now & whilst i love 4K getting those 90fps numbers is can be a balancing act on settings/gpu/cpu, im going back to UW1440p not because my 3090 cannot do 4K 120 on most games easily
- its because i know it will just work & work for many more years at max settings if i really want & i wont need to spend another 3K on GPU 2 years down the line
so its up to you, i just wanted to share my experiences, if you do 4K know that you'll always be chasing that next GPU to run games at the res you want at medium+ settings if your young that is super awesome, id recommend you do it, but if you dont want that chase and just wanted to enjoy your games at high refresh & just working id go <4K till 8K becomes the standard.
4K on 27 was a killerMuch appreciated mate, I think i've found my happy place here (2 x Gigabyte M32U, running off a 7900 XTX 24GB, alkthought in retrospect I should have just got a Samsung G9 Ultrawide!) 4k would be dioable on most things, but I'd rather have the power in the card to blow everything to max on 1440p and not think about it, plus my eyes are so **** i'd struggle with 4K text!
4K on 27 was a killer
im debating between LG 45 or less likely samsung oled G8x2 LG is out of stock or a 2 week delivery... & samsung seems to have a bunch of issues right now
ive set my LG cx 48 into UW mode (4096x1600) so im good for now
Sorry mate but I'm getting confused here, did you buy the M32Q or M32U cos you mention having both of them in different posts, I've probably missed the post if you've changed them.Very nice!
The 2 x M32U are working out well so far, good size, good friendliness on the eyes, popped both the SRGB Colour mode with about 45 brightness and its a nice setup!
Should have porobably not messed around and just got a G09 Odyysey, but ah well!
I'm still looking at this one too! Can't make my mind up to go for the M32Q or this one, I can get the Nitro for £339 direct with my Blue Light Card. I'm just getting really fed up with buying monitors and having to return them for faults (mainly stuck pixels).@izzop now you're hopefully settled in with it, how are you finding the XV272UKV? About to pull the trigger on it myself.
Blue light what a good idea, never thought of using mine. Ocuk don't do bluelight, never considered elsewhere.I'm still looking at this one too!
