There's no reason you can't make a bit of pocket money but I doubt you'll survive without another job to keep you going.
Ebay is your best tool I'd say, why bother leaving? Get set up as a proper trader, reduce your fees and above all, remember the tax when you're adding up how much you'll rake in!!!!
