New PC - £500

At this end of the market cases are all pretty similar in function. Get the one you like the look of - they'll all take a retail HSF and the GPU

Thanks, one last question. Would the following be an acceptable swap? Other than the price diff I can't see the difference:

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £111.68
(includes shipping: £8.70)

Aerocool makes nice cases, I've never used konlink, but from the sounds of things around here they be like those CiT items which I have had in the form of a micro tower with a 500w included psu, for the old basic build I had for general use and kodi it was fine, but the material seemed cheap and flimsy which is not what I'd have liked for £40 brand new in a shop, but then I didn't buy it to keep.

As above, go with what you think looks the best and make sure it takes what you need, while cubes are handy, if a disc drive is required then you will be limited in some aspect or have to pay a certain premium.

Haswell builds are good if it involves saving money for other parts, but obviously if you can afford skylake/kabylake then you might as well as it makes more sense, I have haswell, but I got mine back in 2015 and if the game(s) you play require more cpu grunt then pretty much any i5 will be better than an i3 or pentium as that dual cores, but has hyperthreading to aid like a quad, but still not a quad at the end if the day, I'm not a heavy pc gamer anymore nor did I have the money, so my i3 suited me just fine.

Hang on for the 4 or 6 core RYZEN CPU's and a Win10 key can be bought from key site for about £10.

Those pentiums are great for the price and have a good upgrade path, but I wouldn't be happy with a dual core cpu for gaming now, some games don't even load up with dual core cpu, such as FarCry4 and FarCry Primal (all I can think of to be honest at the top of my head)

Never played either of those games on pc, but the HT dual cores are still good for gaming even with all the quads that's out there, it boils down to what you intend to play. My i3 runs the division, fallout 4, mad max, no mans sky, RB6S just fine as far as the demanding games I've played over the last year goes, my issues have been gpu grunt due to the up and down in performance changes.

At this price point you would be better off going the used route. As you would get much better value for your money. I would suggest getting an LGA 1155 motherboard with I5 2500K or I5 3570k with 16GB of DDR3 and an R9 290 which you can pick up for about 100 pounds. Pick your self a a 120GB SSD and a 1TB HDD. Get you're Windows License from Kinguin for about 20 quid and get some cheapo case and you should have some budget left over. To invest on something else on the system or just save for yourself.
