New PC Build - 4090

Really? I've seen recordings on YouTube of other games like The Last of Us using like amounts of RAM. I'm told that Cities: Skylines is another RAM hog.

Two or three badly optimised games I expect. Given a fraction of the overall PC gaming user base has 16GB cards or better it would be very foolish to purposely manufacture games with such demands/constraints.

Seems like a pointless argument to me
We could then say
Well you don't really need a 4090 either
Personally got 32gb ram
I have had the last of us part 1
Crash with lack of memory error (ram not vram)
Spending over 3 grand but penny pinching on ram
Seems wrong to me
Especially since looks like the op will only
Upgrade rarely

thanks for the feedback all, i think ill go with the 64gb just as mentioned above, i dont upgrade often so may as well spend a little extra now to hopefully reap some benefits further down the line.

Thanks again

Can you share your final basket - looks similar to what I was considering?
I need a replacement PC and was considering a prebuilt but think I may go back to building myself as I need it asap.
Last one I built was a few years ago and I had a clear out so assume you still need cables, cpu paste (is it still artic silver?) etc

Thermal paste should come with
The cpu/cpu cooler
Which cables do you mean?
