I already have the two ssds, maybe i should sell one? is 128gb enough. Im getting 1200w incase i crossfire it and than add a physx card liek 9800 gt

I was curious, thought you wanted to RAID them - to which I would have said ... don't bother.

If you can afford to keep them, then do so ... configured as ...

SSD1 : OS + User Files + User temp

SSD2 : Programs + System temp

EDIT : Still think 1200W is an awful lot. The inefficiency is going to be huge when you're under powering it

Just incase i use 3 gpu's and as i always say the bigger the better eh?

What do you mean system temp and user temp? I was also thinking of selling one ssd and getting a 2tb hdd, id put the OS as you said so on the sdd but everything else on the hdd

Using a slower card for PhysX slows down the main cards,

I say dont bother with a PhysX card at all

A single top end 7970 is a better choice, has more Vram and can play games at that resolution itself,

850watts is plenty for a second 7970 in crossfire,

Radeon HD 7970 Crossfire - On your average system the cards require you to have a 750 Watt power supply unit as minimum.

K i wont use physX then, not much use anyway only for arkham city.Im getting the gpu, cpu and psu off someone who bought them off OC but is instead going to get a cheaper build so im getting better value off them three so i think ill stick with them. I also may wait until hdd prices come back down and ill just use a ssd until then.
What looks better a white or black nzxt phantom, i was gonna get a white one to make it stand out more

Fair enough that's a wiser move.

WRT power, seriously your machine will be idle most of the time and the new GPUs have great power saving modes. You may find that your triple card setup idles at a mere 150-200W ! So 200 out 1200 is a lot of wastage.

I would probably buy a PSU to meet your current demands and upgrade later on.

case choice is upto you, I have just put some parts up that hopefully you will see are all you need, the RAM for instance is low profile so will fit under a large heatsink easily, its also 1600Mhz with modest timings and thats all you need for a Sandybridge setup.

The board does Crossfire/SLI at 8X/8X and has good build quality.

Well, like i said im getting it at a discount, and ya cant disregard it when it costs only a little more off him than an 850w psu does can ya?

@stulid i already have the ripjawx ram, will that do? Im no gonna get the 7970 either cause i dont want one that expensive, the 6970 will do me and later ill crossfire it

The problem is that I cant be sure that cheaper coolers will clear the height of the RAM, the Noctua obviously does as shown in the vid, and a closed water loop certainly will.

Why such a large psu , and if your getting a 2600k witch in reality is just made for overclocking then you will probably want a aftermarket cooler for sure and im sure the 7870 will smash a 6950 out of the water and stulid dependant on the cheaper coolers couldent he remove the heat spreaders from the ram, i took them of 2 of my vengeance dims so i could fit a lower possition for a fan on the d14.

Instead of getting the 1200w antec psu i was thinking of getting the corsair tx850w psu but would that hold me back in any way compared to the 1200w one?
