New Pitch Installation

The superior side in Sheffield ;), Sheffield Wednesday had a new pitch installed too!

Long over due, the floods from June '07 had a devastating lasting effect on the pitch and drainage. This season it also came dangerously close to a mud flat.

As well as a long over due new pitch (costing in the region of £1 million) there are also new scoreboards being added.

From the start of the 2015/16 season, Sheffield Wednesday fans will see a dramatic change to the matchday experience at Hillsborough with the introduction of a huge new 60m2 LED screen from stadium technology specialists ADI.

I want a striker or 2 (Davies and O'Grady) and 2 centre halves, since our only one is Kennedy and he has glass knees.

We need a whole new spine to hold to team together, gutted Brayford will be missing for a while too. Hopefully we can get O'Grady this time around and play Che more often, he's a little diamond in the rough.

But our pitch is better than your pitch! :D

R.I.P Alan Woodward, never had the chance to see him play but from what my dad say's, he was just as good as Tony Currie. I've wanted to Jessica Ennis' name removing for a while and now, is perfect to remove it and put a Blades Legend up there for us all.

The Alan Woodward Stand. :)

Negative Nige will be in his element! I guess I'll use the matches as time to write out my will or something :(

Haha! Nige is an excellent manager/coach! I think he needs a little money to be able to move players in/out. Confident that you'll be challenging again this season.

I'd love for us to rename it this, but I heard rumours a few weeks ago it will be taking a sponsors name.

Clough has had money to spend, and spent it horribly. He forced our centre halves out and hasn't replaced them. Played almost all season with Full backs or Centre Mids playing there. His negativity and poor signings didn't win a fan with me, as you may be able to tell. :p

Haha, you and all the Sheffield United 'fans' on Praise or Grumble :p. It's always hilarious listening to that after Sheffield United have lost! It's the same thing over and over; sack the manager, sell the team!

Some of the fans that phone in have a serious misunderstanding of where the club is at, half of them view Sheffield United as being on level with Real Madrid and Bayern :p.

Gah, I never listen to that crap. I don't want Clough here, but I do know where we are, and I also think our squad is pretty decent for where we are - Literally all I care about signing is 2 centre halves. I found it quite ridiculous that we spent almost £2m on Brayford, to play him out of position for the majority of the matches.

And don't get me wrong, he could take us up as Champions next season, it doesn't change the fact he has made some horrific decisions this season.

Edit: I have very little issue with our players at all, they put everything they've got into every match. And they're almost all easily good enough for this level.

Brian the blade is excellent listening as long as you take what he says with a big pinch of salt.

I think you're squad is pretty good too tbh, I have no idea where the inconsistent form comes from but League One is a strong league.

I cannot pretend to follow the Sheffield United much at all, however it does ask some big questions of Clough if he is unable to have as of yet identified a first team and is still playing players out of position.

I disagree.

I disagree.

I guess you're one of the fish he's caught. ;)

We bought badly this season. I think the teams attitude has been terrible this season. They just can't get themselves "up" for the League One matches. If you put championship or premier league opposition in front of us we play at a decent level. I personally think there's too many players in our team who think they've got a God given right to cruise to the League One title just because we're a pretty big club with a lot of history.

We need to sign a couple of decent CB's, we never replaced Maguire properly. Throw in a genuinely good striker and we've got no excuse not to get automatic promotion. If we sign another player like Higdon my head might explode.

I agree in the Higdon front. Slightly off topic, Scougal has Tweeted today: @Scougall10: Just bought my first house in Edinburgh .. Furniture shopping time

Hmm...
