I think the large neck is angle of perspective. If I bend my neck back it looks as long as it does in the photo. When I relax my neck it looks a bit more normal.

I think you should just give it up and join a tower of giraffes (yes, a group is really called a 'tower').

We have a sink and yea it used in that way everyday
