New PS3 exclusive will be announced on the 10th - lastofus.com

From the last quote in post 193, about not even ready to discuss the game let alone show gameplay etc.
Confused why you would even think it will be out soon when ND have just published Uncharted 3 - even poor devs like Infinity Ward need a couple of years before they churn out the same game. Is there really any expectation for this to turn up tomorrow rather than sometime late 2012/2013?

Give them a chance, they only went through the crunch 3months ago - 3/4 years to build a game isnt that long when you have other simultaneous projects being done as a dev...

I'm not saying it will be out soon. I just hate these announcements (like C&C Generals 2) when they are so far off.

I originally posted in this thread that it would be Fall 2012 when it comes out, but after reading that I wouldn't be surprised if it was Fall 2013.

3/4 years to build a game (they have already had two) which means the possiblity of another two year development cycle which would fit with what I said about being showed at loads of trade shows (E3 2012/ TGS 2012 + whatever else, then E3 2013/TGS 2013).

Obviously only time will tell when it does actually come out, and how it will actually play, but for now my interest is peaked by the game, and I will just see what pans out.

Tbh it's a miracle that the game made it this long without being leaked. Methinks they showed the trailer just to get the inevitable reveal out of the way in a controlled manner.

To be fair all three Uncharted games were released within 12 months of the initial tease like the one we saw for TLOU. I'd have to guess that they'll be aiming for something similar but they didn't set a date so that if it goes on another 6 months then it goes on another 6 months.

Unless something really bizarre happens though this is in no way comparable to things like GT5, FF13 or FF13vs which were announced 5+ years before they were released and in the case of FF13vs it could be nearer 7 or 8!!

Personally I prefer the Apple method of "This is the iStick, you can buy it in stores from Monday" as you don't have to wait for it and people get caught up in the hype rather than some people forgetting about it for another 10 months until they get a release date.

No doubt the next couple of years is going to be a busy one for ND and are loathed to repeat what happened with U3, especially as Id be very surprised if they arent one of the devs with a PS4 dev kit with their name on it. Also looking at overly delayed games, the public response is always going to be partily negative, if not alienating, even if the end product is very good...

You make a good point regards Apple, but I dont think a publisher has the guts to do such a marketing plan - very, very few end products have that kind of appeal unfortunately. Makes me wonder about the elephant in the room that is the iConsole :p;)

Actually it's more like "This is the iStick, you can buy it in stores from Monday. If you queue up overnight. We're also purposefully limiting supply in order to maintain demand and artificially high prices" :p
