New RAID controller, will array still be ok

I'm currently using RAID0 x4 drives on an onboard nforce4 controller so I'm wondering if I'll loose the current RAID array & have to create a new array on a Gigabyte P35-DQ6 mobo.

Needs to be the same controller or your gonna have to re-build it!

ahh thought so, thx, time to get burning...
would have been bad to build a new system then not have you hard-drives :eek:

Not necessarily, I've heard of folk moving arrays between different controllers from the same manufacturer successfully but I've also heard of people moving to identical controllers and being unable to recover the array.

Nforce to Intel however isn't going to fly.
