Whats the Red Key do anyway? I've heard people advertise cars with the red key, what the hell does this magic key do??

Washed the car three times over the weekend and still birds have pooed on it again. Either a sign of luck, or they think its a crap colour, bloody birds.
 
OH dear, you dont have the super powered Red Key.
It unlocks pandora's box; The magical power button, the incredible 350bhp unlock, extra lives, all weapons and unlimited ammo.

But to be honest,
I have no idea what the red key does. I just have read and known about the red key for some time on those cars.

Maybe worth finding out though.
 
Red key is master key used to reprogram immobiliser (I think) would not worry about it I just bought an ATR and got no red key with it so don't worry about it. By the way nice car had I not bought the ATR the 5th Gen Prelude was 2nd on the list.

On a fiat coupe, the red key is the master key. If your ECU looses power (and backup power) then only the red key is hard programmed into its memory. You can use the red key to program all the other keys into the cars memory.

May be similar with yours?

what happens if you dont have a red key then? is it game over if anything serious like the above happens?

If its just the immobiliser, thats fine as it has a third party alarm/immobiliser anyway. Will give Honda a call tomorrow.
