How can something be classic and terrible? Unless it's possible to classically bad. :/

As action packed? Maybe, in a nice family friendly way. A decent story? Better than the original? How is it going to be much different? Guy gets killed/nearly killed in the line of duty, then gets turned in a cyborg and proceeds to inflict pain on criminals in the case of the original, and a telling off in the remake. I'm sure this new Robocop would love to give them some pain, but the risk of being sued by criminals is too great. Instead of satirical adverts we saw in the original, it will be Injury Lawyers 4 U.

I knew I got it wrong, but I wasn't going to Google the quote and it was near enough anyway seeing as they're all loaded up with guns :p

I just like the use of the pause. It seems very "robotic" and fitting.

That creeped me out. It was horrid seeing the hand just... well you know.

Sequel was horrid as well. When they do surgery on Cain. Ugh, I can still hear the skull suction plate pop. As well as cut up the fat cop.

I want one of those as well, but damn, that price!

Gonna try and watch some Robocop at some point. Feel inclined to go for my Criterion DVD, but it just looks awful on a modern LED these days. If there's one film that needs a '4K remaster' it is Robocop. That film has not looked right in any of the subsequent DVD/Blu-ray releases.
 
If anyones interested, the original trilogy on blu-ray is available on the rainforest & has been on offer for under a tenner.

Is the Netflix version the full Directors Cut? If it's not god help you if you think he normal version of Murphy's death is graphic.....:eek:
