New router for Virgin 50meg

I've never used the VM router we switched to neatgear wnr854t theres no point having a wireless N router n 100mb lan cos the benifit of faster wireless will be slowed by the 100mb of the lan unless of course you decide not to use the usb wireless N dongle and dont have N in your pc.

Ive got the ADSL version of the 160 also and find that it gets very hot and the wireless drops on when connected on N weather its from me stressing it through 1m thick walls? im not sure but the signal is still good?!

Couldn't agree with you more, other than i had mine installed for all of 20mins!! Replaced with my trusty D-Link DIR-655 which is what i would recommend the OP go with. You get the best of both worlds - amazing reliability, rock solid performance and wireless N support.
