New SkyQ offer for NEW Customers

Was about to come on here and say thank you for providing the code and helping me out. I may be a new registered user on the forum, but doesn't mean I haven't been reading threads for a while. I wasn't aware that you had a requirement that new members couldn't apply. I apologise for that and if I could return the code to you, then believe me, I would... Regardless, Thank you for the code. I shall see where I can input on other threads, and return the favour.

Out of interest - how does Sky classify a 'New Customer' - is it based on the individual who pays the bill or the address of the installation? If we were to cancel our current Sky subscription which is in Mrs Clangers name and I was to apply a few days later - am I a 'new' customer?

I've just been informed by the Sky staff member, whom I obtained my code from, that this offer will be for an 18 months minimum term contract unless you signup after 16th August.

Signup before 16 August and it'll be 18 months minimum term
12 months @ £12 for Sky Q Silver
6 months @ £56

After 16 August it's just 12 months minimum term

I have checked my contract in the Sky Services app and it states 18 months minimum term.

That is different to what I have been told.

I signed up over the phone using the code from MissChief. The guy I spoke to said that he had looked into this for another customer and it is definitely a 12 month contract using the code, as stated in the terms and conditions in the e-mail.

He said that he would make a note on my account that it is only 12 months in case I face any issues next year.

Out of interest have you checked what it states in your order confirmation email and/or messages in the Sky Services app?

It says 18 months, but the guy on the phone said to ignore that and that it is definitely 12 months.

I'm happy to proceed because he put a note on my account about this and the terms and conditions in the email state 12 months.

Yes, 12 month minimum subscription is in the offer T's & C's.

Just in case there's any confusion as I've sent a new user a code already in error and someone who has registered in the forum, hasn't even bothered to post and has asked for a code!

I WILL be checking post history and membership status from here on. Only members for more than six months or 100 posts will receive a code from here on.

thanks very much for the code. it's been redeemed, looking forward to install date.

I didn't realise I had to make a post since it wasn't in OP. Just to trust message yourself with the relevant details.

If anyone doesn't redeem a code you can re-register them I believe for someone else. I have family who are moving home and could do with a code if someone doesn't use theirs.
