New SSD

I want/need to upgrade my current 60GB SSD; simply doesn't have enough space for all my programs anymore. Looking at the SSD sticky it looks like I should go for the M4 or Performance Pro, taking into account I don't plan to put any games on it. However I've read lots of good things about intels reliability. So what's my best bet? How do the samsungs compare?

I have just had an M4 128gb and its fantastic. If I were to buy again tomorrow htough could be tempted by the new intel or the samsung 830's currently on special. I can't justify my statements though with any actual facts

Also, I was kinda contemplating the following setup: 120GB SSD for OS + Apps, 200GBish Velociraptor for games, 1TB Storage

Is this a good idea or are velociraptors just redundant now?

I use mine with a 1tb wd black for storage. OS/MS Office/Expression/apps and starcraft 2 leaves me 60gb free on my ssd.

Well at the moment I got a Vertex 2 60gb and 750gb hdd. Was just wondering if a velociraptor for my steam library would be a good idea or not. Seems I can get a 600GB for £160~

I wouldn't bother with a velociraptor now. An SSD plus storage drive will be fine

I choose the intel as my first SSD because of the thread on these forums and it was the warranty that did it for me too and not just its speed. I just decided to pay for the warranty, speed and reputation.

Yeah the Crucial M4 and the Intel 520 are the two drives that stand out above the rest right now IMO.
