NEW STEAM DEALS!!!!

I really like the idea of Stalker but I have attempted to play it 3 times since it was released and each time just couldn't get on with it.

How far did you get?

First 10% of the game is pretty difficult and slow, since you have crappy pistols and poor armour, but by the time you get to the garbage area, the game picks up quite nicely.

I'd recommend playing it vanilla first and then try the Complete 2009 mod.

I've played it through three times now but still amazed at how immersive the game can be.

I was considering l4d2 before but I think it's still a bit too expensive for me still so Valve isn't getting any more of my money, for now.

nothing is ever good enough is it :/

It was good a few days ago/ a week ago when 90% of the people who wanted these games bought them in the one day deals.

As others have said, to say "New deals in...." and "One Day Only" etc. and they have the final day as a select few repeats is slightly disappointing.

Obviously we appreciate the deals otherwise we wouldn't have purchased the games in previous days, but some new deals mixed in would have been nice. Or if they are going to do second chance offers, do what D2D did and put them all up again at the end.

Just bought GTA4, Defense Grid and Torchlight all for just £10!

Was really hoping for Borderlands to be around £7.

Good time to be a pc gamer with all these deals.

This is lame to of put only some of the daily games back on for the final day...:(

If there were going put the same games back on....Then they should put every game that been in the daily sales back on for the last day....

Thanks, is there any point in my buying it with this spec - AMDX2 6000, 4gb ram and an 8800GTX. Or will it just look pants and perform pants?

It won't be ideal, but it should be playable I think. You can always buy it cheap now and you'll be able to play it with good performance in future when you upgrade too.

Okay... I've looked over all the other deals and am in consideration with:

  • Darkstar One - £2.99
  • Sniper Elite - £1.79
  • Far cry 2 - £9.99
  • Indigo Prophecy - £2.37
  • Fallout 3 - £22.49
  • GTA 4 - £4.99

Decisions, Decisions :p Any recommendations?
I already have Indigo (In Fahrenheit form), I'll probably grab that just because it's awesome :p Not too bothered that there isn't a sex scene :p
Far Cry 2 for £10? Shall I grab that?

Hmm...might skip it then, its very unlikely that I will be upgrading again as my gaming days are nearing an end anyway so it wouldnt be a clever use of money. So would need to be decent with my existing machine.
