I really want buy NFS: shift......but am not going pay £22.49 for it....NFS: Shift maybe? Not played it though so can't recommend but it's ratings are good.
(All these steam deals lately are turning me into a cheap skate )

Which games have better graphically and better playability For £2.49 ??
There's something up with that, I've just loaded it up to have a look, those floor textures in particular look waaay too blurry compared to mine. Where does it save the damn screenshots anyway?
I bought it and yeah, it is very demanding on my machine too. Screen Space Ambient Occlusion brings the framerate to its knees but even with that off, it is still demanding and I see sub 30fps in places. The textures look very low res and blocky too, a bit like running Doom III on the lowest settings Although Doom III would run like poo through a goose on my machine.
Is this how it looks and runs for you?
I see also you get a letterbox unless you run on a 16:9 screen, mine is 16:10.
that looks nothing like mine
Mine runs 16:10 perfectly fine too no letter box, did you accidentaly change the aspect ration in the options it's got about half a dozen weird ones mine works fine on auto.
Have you have scolled down and changed the other settings ??Mine is on Auto too, I am playing Butcher Bay - are you playing Dark Athena perhaps?
Yes I do mean that.
What is your graphics card, do you have more than my 512MB memory perhaps?
Mine looks like that now, thanks to chaparral
lol you being dim enough not to scroll down never occurred to me
oh i found setting the aspect to auto while ingame (not main menu) give me black bars
Don't worry i Didn'tNever underestimate my level of dimness
Never underestimate my level of dimness
I'll try changing the aspect ratio from the main menu then, it isn't much of a problem though I also notice the game likes to use 60Hz and ignores my 120Hz setting, for some reason.
