i believe there is a free version about but think its ads supported. to be honest theres a lot better games around graphically and with better playability .

i would at least get demo

Yeah I kind of want to do the same with BF2 but at least with the new patch, you do not need the disc and you can still play it through Steam so can still get the overlay etc.

I played FarCry online for the first time in years the other day. Still servers running it I had a great frag. So many memories it is the game that got me off consoles and into PC gaming.

Yes they do. I've not played them since i upgraded but a quick open of Doom 2 and it ran fine.

To be honest I was thinking about getting the ID pack but then I thought, I will prob never play them so whats the point

Anyone else getting an RMN40 error when starting GTA 4 ? says its something to do with xp needing service pack 3 but im on vista 64 bit.

Any ideas ?

Googled for it and there seems to be people saying the following fixes it:

Installing SP1 for Vista if you haven't already
Setting the GTA .exe to XP or 2K compatability mode

That's all I could find.

NFS: Shift maybe? Not played it though so can't recommend but it's ratings are good.
