Cheers mate :) hope you manage to find something. Windows displays my CPU speed @ stock :/.

Download cpu-z to check the speed of the CPU in windows. The speed shown under control panel isnt reliable.

If you have speed step enabled it will be idling so won't run at your full overclock on the desktop. You should download prime95 to stress test the CPU anyway to make sure the overclock is stable.....it will max out the CPU, you can see in cpu-z if your OC is set right.

there is also hardwaremonitor to download to help monitor you temps (from the same people that made CPUz) or use realtemp. Hope this helps

Yeah I have been testing for stability :) 4.3Ghz stable @ stock volts ^.^ my temps are kinda balls atm cause my heatsink needs to be reseated I think.

Scrolling back i see you have the software i mentioned. I was mainly answering to your confusion over windows showing the incorrect CPU speed......it is well known, well to many of us on here anyway.
