The Sata cable in the picture is just to the eSata port on the tower's front I/O

yet to get my SSD due to funds xD my back aches like hell though

just re-orientating the front of my case then Ill take a pic front on.

Oh theres just one problem Ive noticed with the Storm Trooper... The supplied thumb screws and thumb screw holes double thread way too easily.. and the thumb screws to change the HDD bay orientation are quite well put in to begin with and rounded off quite easily too... Think they are a bit soft if Im honest.

Yeah, I think you can only boot from OS drive, you can back up the e-drive and format it then install OS????

stick windows 8 preview on a usb stick using rufus... see if you can get up and running with that

Just set up a partion and make it bootable. I use Easus partion manager, but there are others you can use.

Ive got a pen drive that can be bootable Ill put a copy of win7 on it that would work right? atm trying to figure out how to assemble my K2 rofl...

You still need a hdd to install to.

Can install to the pendrive surely..? using some magic? xD Ill make a partition on my external then. just has to be NTFS format correct? and this K2 cooler comes with the worst installation instructions known to man...

You can install the OS iso file on your pendrive but you cannot install the OS.

Ok. First things first... Im going to tidy up the mass boxes.. and anything that I no longer require to finish the barebones build... jw I can put the heatsink on with out TIM right? just Im waiting for some LP Ram to arrive and I don't want to have to remove+reapply the TIM.. I won't bother if I can't.

I would`nt recommend running the cpu without paste.

Looking good there mate, but yeah make sure to apply the thermal paste before placing the heatsink on top.

^.^ just had my flatmate in he looked at the K2 and was like... how the **** is that going to stay on the bracket? xD also... how to partition my external so I can load OS onto it?
