For that budget, I'd go with this because it frees up a bit of money for one of the best 270X cards (with 3-year warranty not 2 like the Sapphire), keeps the same length of warranty for PSU anyway (3 years), and because I've had good experience with that EVGA PSU so far. Now, it only comes with two PCI-E connectors, not four like the Corsair, so if you are intending to CrossFire with it, then don't go for it. Then again, 550w seems slightly borderline for CrossFire, even with a 270/270X.

The BitFenix Merc case would be fine if you don't mind that it doesn't have USB 3.0 and only brings one fan. The Zalman comes with USB 3.0 and three fans and a (simple two-speed) fan controller.

I wont be doing cross fire, the only other things i will be adding from this PC will be the 1tb drive that is in it as a backup drive, dvdrw drive, and my SB audigy XFI with the front bay (only because it will have the headphone socket at the front of the pc, and mutes the speakers when plugged in).

I will prob also add an SSD at a later point

PSU i selected was thinking it been gold + it would be more efficient, but i think most will be more efficient than my current one (8 year) old tagan tg580-u15

I like the look of the Zalman case so i think i will go for that, (i was going to order some 120mm case fans for the case i selected so it woulds out better getting the Z3 if it comes with the fans)

Gold efficency is good trait but in a PSU which will only use 300w max what difference does 10% make (which is the difference between bronze and gold.

on a xfire/trifire rig pulling 700-1200 (quadfire 290xs can pull 1800w easy) 10% is a big difference there.

These ratings have no effect on life either, so dont think you're paying for an extra few years because you're not.

The CX will be spot on for you.

Thank you all for the advice, it is much appreciated.

With the Gfx card, ive now 3 choices what do i go for, Is there much different between them.

PSU, 2 votes for the CX so i will prob go with that.

You might as well wait for the This Week Only deals to change later today - it could save you a bit.

EDIT: Have you ordered yet?
