have just built a new pc and have an issue
its a B450 asus gaming f motherboard
has a SSD and two HD installed
the bios doesnt show the two hard drives,it shows the sata slots as empty, have swaped them around as have 6 slots on the board, stil the same.......also the drives dont spin its as if they have no power
the bios only shows the SSD and the USB drive i had plugged in....the SSD now has windows 10 installed
the power supply is a semi modular one
both the hard drives work fine in a differant pc so its not them...any ideas whats wrong?
could it be a motherboard or power supply issue? how do i check?

Do you have the other end of the SATA power cable plugged into the correct socket on the PSU? Is it inserted properly? Try it in another socket if one is available. Try another SATA cable if you have one.

Is the SSD M.2? If so, it's possible the M.2 socket is sharing the SATA interface, try a different SATA socket, preferably a different colour/position on the motherboard.
