New system ideas and would like yuor input

hmm, you seem to have two processors and two SSD's. i assume this is a mistake, and that you only want one processor (and probably one SSD, but you may want two)

as the guy above said, budget, and uses of computer is needed

for gaming just go for an i5 2500k.
by bench, do you mean benchmarking, cinebench, or something else ive not heard of

also, you say you dont have a budget? let me spec you a new gaming rig with absolutly everything (dont worry, i wont go ridiculous like i did in stulids joke thread and recommend a £35k rig, with £20k on SSD's)

If you've got an i7 already then there's no point upgrading, wait till Ivy bridge later this year.

Get yourself a pair of 580's to keep you busy.

Exactly.

wasting more cash just to get higher clocks is a huge waste of cash £££.

Buy a offensively expensive case as well as the above GTX580 suggestion.

I have an i7 atm but want something i can get some good clocks. plus thinking the 990 will last at least a year or 2

to be honest, the i7 will last you a year or two at minimum.

if you want to put a lot of money into your gaming rig, put in some beefy graphics cards in SLI/crossfire, go for a 3D surround rig, or something like that.

your really not going to see much improvement in gaming because your processor is good enough as it is

*edit*
slow typer is slow.

while im editing, i'll ask you what your rig is currently, so i can suggest how to improve it for gaming

two questions.

1. how do you get 4GB ram in triple channel
2. what on earth is wrong with your rig right now? i would kill to have that PC

if you really want to make your rig better, get 3 3D monitors, whatever other 3D stuff you need, and get some 3D eyefinity going on (im 99% sure you can do an equivilant of 3D surround with Nvidia cards)

Q4 2011 i think. Seriously, wait till then.

If you cant stop the itch, get 2 580's, that'll put a smile on your face.

Current rig is [email protected], 4 gig DDR3 2000mhz,Ud5a rev 1.0 and 2 flashed 6950s 3x 24inc screens

Hi Thallium.

looking at this spec, i would also keep the crosssfired 6950's.

Do you have a SSD?

A nice PSU to support any future upgrades?

Aprt from that keep your £££ in your pocket and wait for the next big thing
