TF2 wasn't focused on serious competitive games, but as a fun general public game. When will people realise this.
well it seems obvious to me most of you on here are not playing tf2 at
clan lvl or in official leagues the current setup is generally 6v6 1medic limit
non criticals, game seemed to be prety well balanced like this althou the demo seems to be dominant on certain maps where he just pipes off entrances as he has so much ammo avail,
so really the fact now u have half the ammo is a massive problem
when regarding when you are trying to take down a sgun and being attacked by 1-2 scouts you dont have enough ammo to jump up on crates death match scouts and get sentry guns down
also in 6v6 very rarely does anyone use engineer as its to slow and takes to long to setup when trying to capture zones especially on maps like well or granary,
the 3rd problem i see with less ammo for soldier and ammo
when as before if you have lost a zone say cp3 and you are dropping back to defend the 2nd cp you then have less ammo to use the soldier to fire his rockets at the wall to get up the medics ubber,
makeing it even harder for the medic to play as the ubber is essential in his play to get the ubber to then counter attack and re-capture the area needed
It seems to me valve do not listen to anyone who play in official leagues or ladders but just those who love to run around spammin the hell out of each other on a 24man server for them guys yeh GREAT cut the ammo,,
for those who play competitive TF2
well its ruined it and if it is to be played in any major LAN's or CPL orr have any future as a competitive game in the context of cs.
this just gave TF2 a massive smack down
Personally, I welcome it and support the changes.
The Steam forums are full of whiners complaining that the Soldier and Demo "nerfs" have "ruined the game".
I don't think there'll be that much struggle for ammo. Primarily, it will reduce Demo/rocket spam, which I am fine with. I play Demo a lot and felt it was somewhat overpowered. Same applies to Soldier really.
I like how it actually makes dispensers even more important. There's now much more incentive for engineers to build dispensers in forward-thinking locations. People complaining its hard on the defense, but seriously, how often is there no dispeners around?
Besides, the amount of ammo you can get from weapon drops anyway means I don't think you're going to be struggling for ammo all the time at all. It just means you cant sit in one place and keep spamming a zone with bombs/rockets.
What are your thoughts, TF2 players?
Like it has been said already, people wont spam less :/ theyll just look for ammo more... So wheres the fun in that?
