NEW Titan Pascal (full 3840 shaders) just announced!

it is to some extent, as people who want the very best

Had to go Titan > 1080ti > Titan

A desire is not blackmail. If someone wants to spend that kind fo money then who are your or anyone else to say otherwise? And if Nvidia can select cards doing that then why shouldn't they? Remember, every single company has a legal requirement to maximize profits for their shareholders while remaining within the law. It would be illegal for Nvidia to purposely not do something that would gain profit without some other benefit to the company.

They haven't deceived anyone or lied about products. The Pascal launch is very similar to others such as Kepler, there is nothing unusual here. If you buy a high end card then of course it will be replaced soon. What do you want Nvidia to do, never sell any new high end cards again?

that's the only thing i cannot change true,
CPU sits at 600-700rpm (150mm)

if you do pumps+ fans you got more noise

you have more fans + pump noise

Yes but pump is 100% inaudible and so are the fans at 500rpm. Could even have them stop at idle if I wanted but noise is no different.

I'm gonna bet they'll release a 1080 Ti V2, 3 months after this comes out with all CUDA cores enabled minus 1 GB of memory.

Its becoming as bad as all the PS4 models with soon a PS4 Pro Slim. Releasing hardware like drivers.

Did he forget the 780Ti and OG Titan

Very first generation the Titan got superseded by the 780Ti for only then the Titan Black to come out.

And both beaten to submission by the 290X, which is still going strong, like the Duracell rabbit.....

^^ This.

I imagine the GTX 1080 Ti will be within ~5% of this card realistically anyway. Better having a Ti now and waiting for the 1180 Ti next year. Unless you are so minted that money is irrelevant anyways.

Aww come on boom you know you need the new shiney!! :)

Depends how you look at it? You can now get a TXP offering 10% approx. better performance for less than the old TXP was recently (£1179), so anyone who was in the market for the old TXP might still be tempted as long as they ignore the better value the Ti offers :).Not sure the 1GB extra VRAM helps much this time

Original Titan X Pascal was priced at £1099, recently increased to £1179 for a matter of a fortnight, then released the Titan Xp for £1159.... bargain! :P
