New to 64 bit os whats the difference between these

Couldnt that be due to the diff in angle from where he is and viewing and is of the lighting diff even minute it might still put the light diff so it shows more bump details?

I don't think so; I guess the extra memory, gives better detailed draw distance?
So the memory being used here is RAM and not VRAM?

Doubtful, look at the camera position co-ords on the screen, he's only very very minutely differently placed, i'm not sure how your screen is set up but it's clear as day here, the 64 bit picture is using much higher resolution textures.

I'd be very surprised if the very slight difference in position caused such a huge disparity in the displayed texture.
 
and in 32-bit, any one .exe can only address a maximum of 2GiB of ram, not 3.2GiB.

on 64-bit this limit is much higher :D

In a 32-bit O/S, only 4gb RAM can be addressed (which is reduced because of other devices) and 2GB per .exe.

A 64-bit O/S running a 32-bit application can actually utilise to up to 4gb per .exe.

Didn't realise this for quite some time. :)

i was standing in almost exactly the same place think i was 1 step to the right/left out
 
there is the very high tweak for xp, but i think the detail is because of DX10 not the os architecture, xp using only dx9

Both screens are DX10 and running on a 64bit OS, but as he said in his first post, for some reason it wasn't automatically running the 64bit game exe and he noticed that difference when he did.

You can see that 32 vs 64 is the only difference from the information written on the screenshots.

you can also see on the screen shot info tab the extra memory each screen is using where it says MEM 32 bit wass using around 800mb 64 bit was using arounf 1100mb
 
64 bit RAM

just to clear it up the intel website states that a 64 bit system will utilise up to 24Gb RAM whilst 32bit will only handle 4Gb even if more is installed!
