New to O2.... taking an age to get an IP address

Hi all,

Playing with my router tonight tweaking the settings DG843GT on O2 ( as of yesterday) when I reboot it syncs fast enough but takes atlease 5 minutes to gain an IP address :confused:

Is this normal in the 1st few days?

What firmware version are you using?

From memory I had a problem like this when using old/out of date firmware.

Get the latest DGTeam stuff on there.

That doesn't sound normal to me, I'm on O2 using the same router as you and mine obtains an IP address straight away every time.

Could try different firmware like Aekeron suggested. I'm using UberGT 1.06 beta4, seems more stable to me than the official Netgear firmware.
