new to overclocking

I'd put the RAM on its stock timings for now, if thats 6-6-6-23 then fair enough keep it like that. Also underclock it to something like 400mhz instead of 500. You can turn it back up later, its just to eliminate RAM out of the equation.

So, 333fsb x9. Try 1.4v for that. If it's stable, you can lower it a notch and try testing again - repeat until its unstable then up the voltage 2 notches from that value. At 333fsb, 400mhz RAM will be on 5:6 which isnt bad.

If it's stable with those settings, try it again with the RAM at its usual speed (533mhz) or the closest you can get it on your ratio.

If it's stable you haven't missed anything. Don't be affraid to change your BIOS settings. Unless you overvolt your CPU, NB or RAM, you won't do any harm. The worst than can happen is the system won't boot and you'll have to reset the CMOS.

Make sure you make note of everything as you go along and make one change at a time. That way, it's esier to realise where you went wrong.

As I said before, follow my guide, and you'll be up to 3.2GHz in no time :)

there no option for 400mhz in ram freq ,just 667,800,835,887,1002,1066,1111,2335,
so what should i change it to an do i need to mess with timmings? cheers

just changed to 333 fsb an put it to 1.4 vcore shes booted up fine
do i need to change nb volts or norhbridge to strap or anything else that i may have missed, sorry to panic ;)

400mhz DDR2 is 800mhz sorry, so 800 is the one you want =)

With only 2 sticks of RAM you should be fine leaving the NB and SB as they are. Only raise them if you turn out to be unstable.

Again read the answers that have been posted!!

If your FSB is running at 400MHz, then the RAM will be running at 800MHZ on a 1:1 ration beacuse it "double data rate"..

If everything passes your stability test, then no need to change anything.

As for your RAM freq, the settings are based on your current FSB setting and available ratios. This BIOS provides you with the RAM frequency settings so you don't have to work them out yourself.

If you adjust your fsb freq, then the available RAM freqs available will also change.

If you have PC2-6400 memory, set your RAM to 800MHz or nearest to.

clock is looking good... I would let prime run for a couple of hours just so you know you have a stable platform to build from.. temps are nice you should get 3.4ghz I would imagine as long as you dont need a huge jump in vcore at any point

We need to see the CPU tab of CPU-Z to be able to help you fully with vcore. You could try putting the RAM back to 533(1066) and see if the blue screens come back.

k guys running bland test an it blue screened do i need to up the vcore or is that a memory issue aslo i was checking website when it happened,
