New to pcs looking for help :(

I honestly think the pc you got for £80 is pretty decent, but its just that. Its too old to form a base for a decent machine.

Exactly the point I'm trying to make, hands down the best thing you can do is add a decent GPU and PSU. Everything else leave, you don't need a processor upgrade (Certainly not to an Athlon) and the 4GB RAM you have is enough.

Sweet so just the graphics card and a psu , Proberly a ssd and a bigger hard drive for films
Just want run battlefield good and any other fps and driving games
I've just ordered 100mb fibre optic as was on 20mb
All this is going through a 37inch led panasOnic led tv

So for £80 think I came off good? I know I need to upgrade parts but lets say it works out £200 so cost me £280 then

Well if I'm honest for that kind of money you could have been looking at a Trinity setup for not much more. You'd not quite have the GPU grunt you'll have with the upgrade but you'd have an overall more future proofed system.

The PSU and GPU is something you can always migrate to another system should you need to anyway. Get a good GPU/PSU ordered up and see how you fair, then you can look at other upgrade options.

Brings you under £200 and will mean you can game at a decent resolution with no issues.

It'll be SATA2 I suspect, don't worry though they are always backwards/forwards compatible. So a SATA3 SSD will still work but might not reach it's maximum speed, personally the difference you'd feel in day to day usage will be no different.

Ok thank you think I've found it and will order it all on payday

Looks good, since you won't be ordering just yet - I'd swap out the PSU for the one I said in an earlier post. Seasonic are by far the best - they make all the best PSU's (Plus OcUK honour the full warranty period - Corsair RMA requires you to post to Netherlands costing approx £20).

Also is it modular? Got told to make sure I get a modular one also I need some clips for my case the ones that u put onto the hard drive and then using the clips they clip into the case do overclockers sell them I'll get some pics tonight

It'll handle the 7850 no problem. That PSU I said isn't modular but that won't be a problem - Just route the cables well. Not sure what you mean by clips, they should have came with the case. Take some pictures of the case and the full inside view so I can get a grasp of what you mean/need.

Will take some when I get HOme but basicly these clips " , attach ever side of the a harddrive which enable it to clip Into the case , I only have one set of clips for 1 hard drive but I need more "clips" so I can put more hard drives into the case I'll take pictures later , I'll also do that auto overclock as mentioned before

Ah, you'll need to contact the case manufacturer for those (Assuming they still make whatever case you have).
