New Top Gear (2011) BBC 2 8PM!

I think I would have preferred it if they'd dropped the Stig idea and just got Tiff on as a permanent fixture to do all that stuff. A bit of an average ep, but looking forward to next weeks regardless.

OMG, I agree with Fox for once

Me too. It's nice to see a non-supercar get some airtime for once. The Yeti review reminded me of the review on the new Fiesta, which had that brilliant chase through the shopping mall.

I particularly LOL'd at the tattoo part. :D

Thought it was great as always. No idea why half of you lot even bother watching it.

I normally love it though:(

They had all the 911's lined up, perfect feature time? No, they choose to race it against gravity, why?

Probably because the sort of people who owned immaculate examples of 911's stretching back to the 60's said 'No, you cant hoon them around the track'.

Tiff or Sabine would be good.

I still watch it because overall TG is brilliant. I complained about this episode because i believe that compared to other episodes, this one was a bit boring.

I like the stig. However, it does invalidate all the current times now that there's a new stig!

Also this one is probably faster as Collins can't drive for **** on Fifth Gear :p

I quite enjoyed that, the Atom section could have been longer and the Yeti section a bit shorter. Loved John Bishop as always. Hammond's section on the 911 was as boring as the last one, might as well re-use the same script each time they review one, can anyone quote off the top of their head which 911 it was?

Mythbusters rip off :(

Actually it's an old BMW advert, which mythbustars made abundantly clear.

I liked the Yeti part. At first, I was like *yawn* but when Jeremy started taking it off road and letting firemen crawl through it, it made me laugh.

Helicopter landing pad was interesting too.

I didn't like the Porsche vs gravity part though. Top Gear do seem to like dropping cars and pianos from the sky.

Also, I hear that another show once did a car review as well, so Top gear is ripping off that show as well.

A ludicrous comparison.

It was a cheap and cheerful imitation of the Mythbusters set up, testing an extremely specific set of circumstances, completely lazy and not even executed well.
