New Total recall trailer.

Don't understand the hate for this, looks like a fairly decent remake.

I recently watched the original again and my rose tinted glasses came off, it has not aged well, still a fun watch though.

Will be watching this at the cinema for sure.

It's aged fine if you reject the zeitgeist as I do. Sci-fi/action films are watered down polished turds these days in comparison to the violence and grit of the 80's/90's. In my opinion there's been this emergence of a certain stylized polishedness in cinema which seems to have become the standard, masquerading as a sign of quality. I find it all very patronizing, dull and highly annoying.

It wouldn't be bothered if I even thought it would be a decent remake, but everything I've seen/heard about it just screams at me 'mediocre'. Colin Farrel and ripping off fifth element just makes me facepalm. Vanilla Sky looks like a better remake tbqfh.

I only just saw a 2nd trailer. Shows a lot more of the world and i really like the design.
It also had the 3 titted women in it!

Its a remake, but it "looks" pleasing. Thats my current stance

Kate Beckinsale AND Jessica Biel :O

OMMMMMMMMMM

Watched the original a few months ago and thought it was ridiculous and poorly made. Can't wait for the remake!

It looks like a carbon copy of the original, with ideas from other films thrown in. If you are going to remake something, do it differently. Len Wiseman is not a good film maker, so I guess it's no surprise he has no ideas of his own.

Actually it takes all the good ideas from the original and gives them a really crap twist.

The only good bit was the 'cameo' from the fat woman in the original.

:(

I watched the original a few nights ago from the beginning (instead of my usual trick of remembering intently the last 20 mins and having no idea how the film got there, almost unable to recall how I got the memories......).

The original was a hilarious ride of sci-fi, bad action and hilarious unintentional jokes/puns. Danny De Vito with Arnie is just a magical film combination, plus I jumped about when they actually said "total recall" in the dialogue :D

Perfect 80s/90s awesome film.

Why an Irishman is playing Arnies role in some pointless remake is beyond me. The trailer looks polished but it smacks a bit of just slapping a classic film around the room a little bit and hoping no one will remember how things used to be... (I resent remakes, the Italian job one annoyed me intensely)

It was'nt Danny De Vito btw.

Saw the film today, not as good as the original but a watchable film non the less.

The new movie is based on the Philip K Dick short story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale". Please don't assume it's simply a 'remake' of the Arnie cheesefest, because it isn't.

No they don't go to Mars, but they didn't in the original story either.

Yeah, but they don't even go to Mars? (i.e. I don't give a ****, going to Mars is epic)

Why did they ****ing call it Total Recall then? Why not call it,...."We Can Remember It For You Wholesale". I already know this film is a piece of ______. The end.

Actually, the original Arnie was based on the same book. What a stupid assumption I've made! Just because it's also called Total Recall, I just assumed it was a remake! It's not a remake at all. It's a more boring film that is better because it stays faithful to the book. Thank God they won't be doing cool stuff, like going to Mars. Can't wait!

The new one has about as much to do with the book as the Arnie version.

Also Mars is mentioned in the book but not in the new film.

As long as they have that weird face exploding scene when they landed outside on Mars I think it was that was freaky
