Yeah the ones with it stuck on the back are a load of rubbish. Soccer sprouts had some original gazelles in stock a while back for 40 quid with the green sole, white leathre uppers. Quite smart.

Bah, been looking for some Gazelles for ages except in brown, with white stripes, I'm sure I've seen them before... maybe they were yours? Or were they Forest Hills...?

The only brown ones i have are Superstars, cream with brown stripes and shell

My Forest Hills are all white with a brown sole

I honestly cannot tell if you are joking here.

Change the colour to white and they're pretty much identically shaped.

However, these are apparently trainers, while DCs etc are "slippers". I just thought I'd point out how the perceived differences are really non-existent.

If by similar shape, you mean shaped to fit on someone's foot then yes. Superstars are much narrower, arent suede, have a rubber toe, not as much padding on the inside and aren't designed for skating at all. I'm not badmouthing skate shoes though. I quite like them, they just don't suit me.

Which high street retailer has the best selection of Nikes? Shopping online has its pros but there's something about holding the shoe and trying it on first that just can't be substituted.

SoccerSport (or is it the other way round) I avoid that place like the plauge though. JD Sports stocks the newest stuff, but not a large selection. Not a lot of choice her in Plymouth though.

I bought my last pair of Nikes at JD and you're right about the lack of selection.

I'll give SoccerSport a try, thanks :)
