New Trainers

Hovis? or tiger aka stretchmark bread?

aw bless. I'm afraid Gilly isn't the sort of person to lie on the internet to make himself look better :p

I love my shoes. This is only one of them.

The Y3 clothing range is hideously expensive. The t-shirts are rather expensive and very ugly, god knows why people pay mucho dinero for a bright yellow t-shirt with 'Y-3' on it in big bold letters.

These babies fell into my hands yesterday. Just had to have em. Comfy as ****.

And the winner is..........................

I'm wondering why anyone would think I was lying about it.

They are retro.

Shush.

Well for a start they're not waffles :)

Feel like you’ve seen these before?

Probably so if you were alive and running in 1977.

But this time Nike have revisited their actual original designs, researched the original materials, specifications, and crafted this ultra limited edition to look 30 years old (these are an exact replication of some Cortez Nike found ’cryonically suspended’ in a vault beneath their museum)-fresh out of the box.

And it’s all there, almost to the stitch. 1970’s grade nylon. Weird swooshes. Aged laces. Weathered foam. And, of course those iconic colour combos. It’s vintage. Minus the annoying, "wait 30 years" part.

:)

I was pointing out the fact that waffles are easy to spot, just look for squares with nipples on them :p

The original Cortez were fine for their time, but they were before trainers were decent. They're not retro, just old
