New UFC Game by THQ

Thought I would also give it a try.

I don't normally bother with these games, even they I'm a mma fan, have been for over 10 years. As they are normally very slow paced, and quickly put together.

But i have got to say i'm impressed. The fighting system is very fast and fluid, The fighters models are also impressive. I can to wait to get hold of the full game now.
 
This game looks fantastic, the graphics are ace, the gameplay seems fantastic, but the depth of the characters just seals it. You really feel like you are playing as the fighters. Shogun is a good all rounder and when hes on the ground hes got a lot of transitions and subs he can pull off, over to chuck and hes not quite the same, yes he is devastating with his striking!

Had to put it up a difficulty but it is becoming increasingly frustrating, yet challenging! one minute you think your coping well, the next you are knocked out. Its like fight night with a whole new dimension, its already in my pre order list and it will stay there!
 
Not normally my cup of tea, but I gave it a bash and wow, it's a great demo. Lovely looking with suburb animation, and the collision detection feels really solid and satisfying.

Will definitely be picking this up :cool:
 
Really impressed, put the difficulty to expert and shogun becomes a monster on the ground :)

Commentary is pretty good too, covering points for new and old mma fans. This game is only going to increase the UFC fan base, smart move by Zuffa.
 
Not impressed at all really I played one round and was bored of the demo.
That's the problem with fighting games with characters that all move the same and have the same move set albeit this allegedly has 6 different styles.

gets boring fast I didn't expect to be meh after one game though.

If your a fan of mma this is a must get otherwise I don't think you'll be impressed.
 
This game is class. I think I set a new record for quickest knockout!!!

First round came out of the corner hit chuck in the ribs with a kick then hit him with a brilliant left hook that knocked him the FO!!!!

1 kick 1 punch!! he was clean out no mounting just clean KTFO!!!!
 
Loving beating chucks face in I must admit. Shogun beats him easily with his kicks and knees usually. The game is best on expert, the other settings are way too easy.

Weird how they gave shogun very weak cardio, I know he's been injured for his last few fights, but the guy had the best cardio around in pride.

That's just sold the game for me. No fighting game has gotten the flash KO's right yet, but if stuff like that can happen that I'm happy. I'll definitely give the demo a good playthrough tonight.
 
Cool didnt realise you can change difficulty on demo. Im gonna have a go through all the difficulty settings, should be fun.

Also im glad to see how popular it is on here, so looks like we will have a good tournament afterall:D
 
Really enjoyed the demo. The graphics are excellent and the fighting is very smooth. Submissions are hard to do though :p

That coupled with Shoguns flying knee is insane. Got a weird KO this afternoon though, chuck was ducking for his overhand right and i hit a step hook with Shogun that slid over the top of chucks head just brushing him that KO'd him. Was weird!

May the 22nd can't come soon enough for me!

well yes, it does have 6 different styles, but we only have 2 fighters on show. One a bit of an all rounder and the other a good striker. Did you explore the depth of the characters or put it down after that firxt game? Its clear as day that shogun is better on the ground and chuck is a monster with his strikes but they are almost the same style of fighter. And when the final release is out, along with all the other characters, we will see the differences for sure... I hope

Chucks submission defense it quite weak if i recall. Toggle the stats on when you choose fighters and scroll down, you will see Shogun has something like 80+ submission offense, and Chucks submission defence is around 50-60 if memory serves me :D
 
i just played my bro. and in the 2nd round we both ran in and he flying kneed as my guy ducked onto it. needless to say instant KO .. :P
