New Velociraptor - how should I use it?

WD have just sent me a nice new Velociraptor 150 after my old Raptor gave up (second time in a year - beginning to wonder about their overall reliability). I currently have my other (ageing) Raptor 74 configured as the system drive.

I mainly want a fast drive for loading games and ocassionally working with large WinRAR files.

My question is, should I stick with the current system drive and put all my games on the Vraptor, or should I stick both games and system on the new drive too? Are there any system overheads if I took this second option that would impact on how fast it loaded levels, etc.

Get another 150 and either raid0 the 2. Or run one with an OS and the other for your 'main' games that you want to run the fastest. Then use your 1TB drive for all other things and 'lesser' games.

Sell it and put the money towards a SSD.

I really wouldn't bother with RAID 0. I was disappointed with it for games when I ran two 150GB Raptors. I now use them as separate drives - one for Windows etc. and one for games etc.
