New video iPod's *REAL* pictures!

although the pictures maybe fake, if one is released its gonna be very similar.
that said, why the hell are people saying stuff like "i am definately gonna be getting one" when its not even been released yet?
do people buy these based on looks and brand rather than performance?
oh yeah i forgot, thats exactly what they do. If it wasn;t then the iPod certainly wouldn't have such a huge market share.
each to there own, it looks very interesting. i just wish some of the lovely looking PMPs from Korea would hurry up and get released over here such as the .v43. The only good ones at the moment are the Archos and Cowon players. A bit of competition would be nice.
Touch screen for a PMP is a bad idea though!

Performance? What do you expect? It's going to play music and probably video like it does now. Performance on an MP3 player is neglible anyway and a good set of headphones will make more difference to the sound.

Let's face it you listen to your iPod etc, on the bus or train or walk to work. Or when exercising etc. In these conditions you won't even notice the differences in sound quality.

I have a dedicated stereo system to play CD's on because I like good sound quality. Getting 128kbps songs to sound fantastic outside is a waste of time.

Features are unimportant to an extent and formats are, again, much of a muchness. I bought an iPod because it's the best looking player by far and does what it says on the tin.

Why do people get so bothered by people buying them?

I am inclined to say that it does matter.

Although I am equally inclined to say that the current iPod's SQ is underestimated by those who have decided long ago that they would stay away from it.

Personally, I do think that 128kps MP3 is rather wasteful on an iPod. It is capable of much better. Even if you are a skeptic when it comes to lossless, at the very least, it deserves some LAME APS encodes

Audio performance would have no reason not to be ok, but can you imagine the battery life as a few other posters have said?! The backlight would have to be on constantly for watching videos, on a larger screen, so more lighting needed. Look at how thin the thing 'is', no way are those pictures real. I'm more than prepared to eat my words if they do release something similar, but does anyone truly belive it'll happen any time soon?

Forgot to post this yesterday when I seen it. Apparently these are real pictures of the new 4" full face video screen ViPod due for release end March/Early April.

They look mighty amazing, and I cannot see them being fake.

I can now finally replace my iPod with something, and feel like it's justified!

There is NO WAY IN HELL that is real.

Apple don't even know how to make a normal screen yet. My iPod video screen looks like an icing rink.
