New Viewsonic Monitor - would you accept this bleed?

Just got a new Viewsonic from *somewhere*, would you accept this backlight spot bleed on your new Viewsonic?

Your views/opinions please....

Thats insane - if its really as bad as it looks on dark scenes its not acceptable.

Having just bought a cracking Benq 24" LED LCD with zero back light bleed, that would be a no.

Ouch... I've seen better from a B grade Samsung return monitor that was sent back due to excessive bleed.

At least Viewsonic are decent with warranty claims. I had a problem with mine and they sent someone with a new one for me.

Send back and make sure you ask for a new one, not a swap-out. I think the time line is something like 30 days for each new monitor they send but after that they will start to send swap-outs and you don't want a secondhand monitor after just paying for a new one.

Contact them and they will send new monitor and pick up old one at same time. Good luck.

I'd DSR return it unelss they can 100% guarantee you a NEW unit not a refurb.

Great set of feedbacks, thank you guys. Unfortunately I got it from an e..auction site. It was stated new, boxed, never used. Seller didn't accept a return so I settled for a partial refund. So at the end of the day, I paid just over 50 quid for it, hopefully I can sell it for about that much.

But hey, I learnt a lesson here... this is the last time I'm ever gonna buy any monitor from that bay site no matter how good it sounds, unless I collect and inspect it up myself.

At least we're all glad to know this didn't come from OcUK

The serial number should be covered by a warranty for a certain period of time. The sales receipt has nothing to do with this process.
