New watch

The exif says the picture was taken at 17:23 but the clock clearly shows 6 O'Clock.

So either your camera clock is wrong or you wrist watch is wrong.

Is there a new reason you've bumped this thread just to point that out or has it been bugging you for the past six weeks?

Since it has been bumped I'll comment, nice watch and clear dials although I'm not so keen on the strap.

First time I've seen this thread.

But yes it's a good looking watch.

Erm, the watch clearly shows 7:25. Learning to tell the time might help!

Besides he might have been visiting a european country but taking the picture with his English camera.

I honestly don't get why someone would need to spend so much on a watch, or well any fashion item ( spending so much on a watch is not a functional thing, the same functions could be provided by a 50 € watch).

I mean sure, it looks okay, but spend thousands for THAT .

Oh well perhaps I'm just too poor to understand :D.

Oh my god. This again.

Why don't you understand? It's really, really easy. Most things in life are available in bargain, midrange and money-no-object. To use your example, it's just like a Porsche. A Porsche is not just about getting from A to B fast. It's exclusive (fairly), beautifully engineered and there's the sense of sporting history. When would you ever use the full power and handling of a Porsche on a day-to-day basis? A 1.2 Corsa would do the job just as well most of the time. How many people would actually know you're wearing an expensive, tailored, Italian suit and not a something off the clearance rack at Topman? And don't even get me started on top-end PC's. A nice watch will last forever and hold it's value well. You can't say that about too many expensive toys.

Its nice, i appreciate the engineering that goes on with watches. But personally i like to see something more for my money.

thousands of pounds for something so small just doesnt appeal to me. Its the same with jewellery, i dont get it.

if i had say.. 4 grand.. i would buy a nice audio setup, or a projector, or a holiday... but then again. if i had all them already. then i suppose a watch would become an option.

This is my watch, simple but i love it;

I wish i could afford to spend £4000 on one though, very nice Spie.

JLC have had a price increase recently, not sure how much the EWC is now, heard somewhere in the £8500-9000 range

I want a Hublot 44mm Big Bang 'Black Ceramic' (All black carat), but it's ever so slightly out of my £100 price frame. :p
