New Website Feature Idea

My main problem is you want a picture of something and your lovely friend Google always gives 300x300 pics which are useless
 
I think this would be a good idea, it would let the potential customer see what it would be like with the components installed and what it might be like for space inside. As for putting it into action it may not be as easy as clicking a few buttons to enable it.
 
I like this a lot. Would admins be able to set up a new email address for forum members to supply pics of their hardware with different combinations of hardware? For example, to make sure that a heatsink fits inside a case etc.
 
They could use the method suggested in the mock up I made, i.e. click on a button that says "submit a picture", then you have the option to browse for a picture on your system or enter a url from a picture allready hosted.
 
Only thing I can think of is that it might tarnish the consumer's perception of a product, and the companies might not be too happy about that. Their lovely PR shots are taken for a reason.

Basically this feature's primary objective is to cut down on time spent searching for these "real life" pictures and to bring some additional functionality to an allready nicely designed website. Pictures that may bring down the quality of the product would obviously be declined in the approval process.
 
Pretty good idea I think, reckon a lot of people who buy from OCUK like to see something more than the manufacturer's photos, its why everyone always shows such an interest in build photos.

Yea I'm building a new rig at the end of the week and all I have done in past few weeks is look at various builds and try to find ones with the equipment wanted! You can have your work cut out for you sometimes lol.
