New Windows Live Essentials 2011

If I have a contact who is online on msn AND facebook chat. When I double click the name it opens the conversation in facebook chat 'form' (ie no webcam options etc). In order to talk to the 'msn contact' I have to right click and select IM.


Does anyone know of anyway to change the default action?
 
I installed it.

The mail app was slower at everything. Messenger takes about ten times longer to start on first boot and is worse in general.

I removed it. It was detrimental to my computing experience.
 
Just discovered this abomination of a program after doing a reinstall on my laptop. I quite like the sleekness and animations of Messenger 2011 (compact) compared to 2009 but the removal of useful functionality and inclusion of other crap is just ridiculous.

Cannot fathom why they would remove display names & the ability to send messages when Appearing Offline.. I mean wtf? :confused:

edit: Oh and I've just seen they removed the block list as well :(

Uninstalled, however every cloud has a silver lining and in this instance it lead me to the latest Trillian which I'm liking.
 
I got forced to upgrade, so I gave it a whirl.

1. Removed display names.
2. Added some Facebook crap.
3. More resource hogging.

If you're reading this Microsoft, I just want a ****ing WLM program that does CHAT! I don't want all this crap you bundle in. Just because it's free, doesn't give you the right to stuff it up.

They should offer a WLM "Lite" for people who don't want all this extra crud.

I've installed Pidgin, and i'm going to keep it until WLM is fixed.
