You can change your display name on Live accounts:
That changes your name for the entire account though, rather than just the display name. Why they've changed that, I have no idea.
You can change your display name on Live accounts:
5 things i dont like about this version;
1 - ads in messenger - they expand when you hover over them with the mouse
2 - Live mail no longer pins itself to start menu - when you set as something else it moans about not being the default mail program (In vista anyway!)
3 - no native x64 versions - you'd think with MS trying to push x64, theyd at least make their flagship apps available in both versions. Makes it feel unfinished
4 - Runs 2 live ID services - (at least they have included x64 versions)
5 - Taken away the ability to change my name
The apps themselves feel a lot more responsive and windos7ish, and live mail has a lot more going for it. Overall I like the new version - a move forwards, but they need to shorten my list to really impress me!
Would a 64bit version of a mail or messenger client be worth it? Not sure performance wise but better security maybe? Not sure, maybe someone with better knowledge than me will know LOL1 - ads in messenger - they expand when you hover over them with the mouse

Ran apatch but I still get this ad at the bottom, anyone else the same?
It does say on the website that it only removes the ad, not the space.
Its horrific cant believe we will be forced to use this utter rubbish. Bloated nonsense.
How the 'el do you uninstall this???? Tried it and didnt think much of it, but then decided to reinstall it again but was told its already installed and wont continue![]()
