LOL, looks like they've stuck to build 12611 which has caused numerous lockups on my console.

Think its being aimed at new users.. A lot of new users 'should' be getting kinect with a 360 slim soon, or so MS hope. Can userstand why you felt like you didn't need to see it, but was only a single button push away....

Looks like they're trying to reduce onscreen clutter and make it look more appealing to the less techincal and casual gamer..

Its not a bad idea I guess but again, don't like it. I have never liked a single xbox360 dash. As with all of them, as long as it doesn't stop me playing forza (really should rename my 360 to forza3 machine. about all it ever does lol ) won't affect me...

I think its bloody awful!!! The white backgrounds, not to my taste.

Same here. They have actually gone backwards in terms of the graphics used. Just look at the bit where it shows how many years you've been on live. It's horrible!

The text looks more sharper and clearer to read but what with all the bright green/white every where ?
I don't find it pleaseing on my eyes tbh.
There should be some more accessibility options to change colour ect,

Updated via network - downloading then installed and changed new look plus add up for Kinect - seem nice colour which I like are Green/yellow..

Ive pre-ordered for Kinect due by 10th Nov along 6 games to add...

They should have two versions of the dash one for all the Kids and people that love all the avatar kinnect crap and one for the real gamer who just wants a simple dash to access the games with a controller.....

I dont like all the white in the new update and i still prefer the launch dash anyday of the week.

I do like the startup splash screen tho!

Hate it, the 'My xbox' section is ghastly on the eyes, way too bright, and not having the boxes layered any-more makes the whole UI feel oversized and 'childish'.

Don't worry it's awful. Myself and Wyrdo have been using it on the new dash for a while chatting to each other. It sounds like you have the flu.

The first thing he said to me was "have you got a cold?"

It may be more stable (hopefully) but they need to sort the clarity out.
