Newbies RX7

There's an RX7 I've been eyeing up for a while now, sorely tempted but the mpg would cripple me on my commute :(

i really do like the look of RX7s, the shape is just great.

there is a black one at the end of my road, tho its not been driven for a good while, just sat on the front garden :/

probably needs a rebuild...buy it and stick a v8 in it.

there was a rex on ebay a few years back that had a ford/peugeot 2.3 diesel lump out of a sierra.

I don't think I've ever seen a worse marriage of car and engine.

all-alu v8, please....

...or an S2000 lump...

What's wrong with the rotary? I confess I don't have any extensive knowledge on the engines and have never driven one but I though aside from the poor mpg, they were very high revving and at peak rather powerful, a real drivers car?

in simple terms, the rotary gets rather sweaty compared to standard piston engines, even more sweaty if not treated right

They absolutely drink fuel & oil, and suffer from longetivity "issues"

The way they deliver their power, and the feel of them is not to everyones taste either, it wasnt to mine (i was seriously considering one until i drove one)

Only way to know what i mean is to test drive one. Its hard to explain.
