Newcastle sack Roeder

Yeah was going to do a thread on this seems like he's been shoved out the door on the quiet nowhere is reporting it atm! Freddie Shepherd burying bad news under Uniteds title win!

No doubt Freddies got Big Sam on the blower but not convinced he'll do any better, sacking the manager keeps the fans off Shepherds back for a bit so that's why he's done it.

It feels staged to be honest. Big Sam wouldn't have left Bolton without first knowing that he was going straight to another club. Newcastle's last home game of the season and they lose, and after the game, fans stage a protest inside the ground. Newcastle can now sack and blame Roeder and appear to be doing it because the fans wanted it. A caller on 606 said earlier that Big Sam was spotted at Newcastle airport. So expect him to be unvealed as new manager fairly shortly.

Now breaking on SSN that Roeder has been summoned to a board meeting with Sheppard, maybe he hasn't actully been sacked... yet

It's a step in the right direction, however that Newcastle board and Shepherd do not deserve the fans Newcastle have. Until they leap off the nearest bridge, it will always be a vicious circle at St James Park.

Most newcastle fans have said this for a long time , roeder is a ok guy but he isnt good enough as a manager and fat fred is the one picking these clowns as manager everytime  for gods sake get a decent one this time .

I don't know if Sam would be my choice, but I don't know who I'd pick.

I can't think of anyone who would have the same effect on the club as King Kev had all those years ago. And it's that sort of appointment that the club desperately needs at the moment!

But who?

I dont like Big Sams style...

Hmmm, not overly impressed... but if it brings success i can be swayed

Don't be too quick to judge. We don't know whether his style at Bolton was his preferred style or simply what produced results given the resources at his disposal. :)

I hope Rodent gets given his old job back as head of the youth set up where he did a brilliant job before. He just not up to the standard of manager We Need.

I personally believe Ronald Koeman from PSV whose job is in the lurch even though he did a brilliant job is the man for the job
