Newcastle to Slough

can't they transfer car to a local dealer and you complete the transaction with them , where you would have time for a full inspection/drive.
(would the local dealer be your point of contact under their warranty if you had any warranty issue anyway)

Train down to Kings Cross (Lumo probably the best option), Northern Line tube down to Waterloo (probably?), then train out to Slough :)
Waterloo doesn't go to Slough! The best route is Tube from Kings Cross to Paddington, then you can get a fast GWR train that takes about 15 minutes.

Weird, I have 2 cars on the driveway that were bought from opposite ends of the country without me ever having to go near their dealerships.

At the time I pointed out Jaguar were pure trash, seems this is being reinforced.

It's not Jaguar though, it's a franchised dealer, Jardines, who have dealerships for many makes including BMW, Audi, Merc, Aston, Ferrari, Land Rover.

Looks like the dealer is Jardine Motors (it used to be a Stratstone). Cant you get it transferred to the closest Jardines to you, which would be in Manchester. Not close but closer than Slough

Paddington would indeed be correct, I was just running off of memory, I don't tend to head West that often on trains and am usually around Clapham/Battersea/Waterloo area :p

What is the best/easiest way to get to Slough from Newcastle (upon-Tyne) via public transport?

I need to go and collect my new (to me) F-PACE SVR sometime as the Jag dealership are refusing to deliver. Their excuse is something about them not being allowed to due to distance selling rules even though their website said and still says that they do a delivery service.

I've already paid a deposit and I have been accepted for the finance through JLR finance.

To be honest I really can't be chewed with the 5 hour+ drive back, I only went ahead with the deal as I thought I could have got it delivered. :(

Here you go:

3 changes / £105 / 4.5 hours.

I imagine they have to abide by some Jaguar based code of conduct, no?

I fully expected to pay them to deliver it, I wasn't expecting them to deliver it for free.

I'm just pee'd off at them saying they can't deliver "thems the rules" when their website still says they can deliver, yep it's Jardines. If they moved it up to Manchester then that would be easier but I doubt they would as the guy am dealing with will prob miss out on his commission.

There is a Stratstone JLR in Newcastle ready for any future snags tho

But definitely threaten to pull out of the sale - I imagine they would get something sorted.
