Well I know this is the most extreme for early news you can get; but I have just been told by Lian Li that they may be showing there new cases in development at CeBIT in Germany this march.

Some new updated cases should be popping up around the same time :)

This is great news; Lian Li usually bring something new to the field every couple of years and we are either due for the new V series cases coming out or the next in the PC series.

I personally am looking foreward to maybe finally seeing the true successor to the PC70/75 :)

Just thought you all might want to share in my excitement!

The v600 is the one I am personally interested in, it looks like if at the right price it could be a killer case.

V series build quality, in a smaller case, which is cheaper.

Sounds like a good formula to me.

We will have to see, but remember they are meant to be small cases, if you check out the dimensions they are verging on SFF.

There is a g60 aswell, but that has been around for a while.

They dont seem to have gone the coolermaster way of things, and if they have I think they are at the wavemaster stage of development.

The v600 though; seriously looks like a V case for the masses which can only be a good thing!

I wonder if they will release anything at ceBIT this year, as that is what the email I was sent was hinting at.

If so then this could be quite good news.

Ahh the competitor pics ;)

It really does look like a great case for the more mainstream market.

I think I may be making a few PC's in the v600. It is just a gut feeling ;)

Because I need to get myself one first!

And driving lessons and tests are not cheap! And also there is the slight matter of a couple of silverstones I want... and now the v600 :(

The V series you will not understand at all unless you have used one.

Looks a lot better in the flesh like all high end cases, as the quality shows in the finnish.

The V600 currently looks as though it is going to be a UNBEATABLE case for its intended market, providing of the price after a couple of months (the new tech premium).

As I said, a V series for the masses, makes the cheap plastic seem; somewhat, cheap.

EDIT and OT: Raikiri you seem to have a good taste in music aswell as cases :)

THE v600 HAS A RESET BUTTON

Just noticed it in the picture, truely a mainstream case but I am now thinking Lian Li have sold out to people who actually use the reset button :p

Makes it look better for the thread title.

And you can always get the panel which comes as standard on the v1000 for the floppy.

It is also a small case remember! So only needs 2 hard drive spaces.

EDIT: Because you do not need a reset button maybe......... You can do the same thing by just pressing the power button in for 8 seconds or so.

Well look at the 4 bays this way.

One for the floppy, one for the DVD drive, one for the CD writer / Dvd Writer.

That is the sort of setup that will be present in the systems this would house in a buisness situation.

See I left this one for 10 minutes to prove a point I don't :p

And I so do not reply to fast!

Have you ever seen the omniposting Gilly in action? 5 posts in different sections in the same minute once, now that is impressive!

Just have to remember most people use dual drives in buisness, one for the reliability factor and two as some programs that may be used require the disk in the pc at all times. That would limit the functuality a lot if there was only one drive.

Anyhow film on tv now so I am off! Yes im going offline...... :(

Gilly.... In cases.......

What is the world coming to!

The G70 I think will look better in the flesh. I am now just waiting until they hit the shops to get a looksie at them.

$140 us at the moment.

However in this country, by the time the prices have stabalised (not realease day) I am GUESSING that the v600 will be in the £90 range. On release day im personally expecting £110.

However I may be miles of the mark, im taking into consideration Lian Li not wanting two cases in the same price bracket competing against one another.

Good to see that there is indeed front USB and mic ports etc.

Just I question them on the top with dust, but does make the case look very clean indeed.
