From 87-89 they put on a few kilos so are just over a 1000kgs
The superchanged models are the Heavyest of the lot though.
Just incase that helps![]()
It used to be you telling me about these cars![]()
saitrix said:And all the stuff you are telling me about the Mk1 MR2 I already know. The Mk1a the one being made between 87-89, the engine was lighter in them but it could not take so much load. They made it stronger for the supercharger in 89 hense why they weighed more.

If you mean the turbo swap (3s-gte) then i'd say i've spent under 1,500 easily.]If you mean the turbo swap (3s-gte) then i'd say i've spent under 1,500 easily.

BOO!!!!saitrix said:Well how far are you from Loughborough?Just today I travelled for 80 minutes to Lashout_UK's house to go see his Dolly.
Zip,
If I was to do an engine swap then it would be to a 20v 4AGE. Even a standard MR2 is like £1300 on insurance. Whereas I'm looking at £900, if that for a Dolly.
Yep - and I got a whole car costing £800... all I've bought with signifiacnt cost is the engine gasket set @ £50ish, clutch set £120ish, CV joints @ £90 and then a few other minor bits... it all depends on how much you want to go to town, and how much of a bargain you can find regarding your donor car. If you can do a £250 clip like a couple peeps here have, then I think a £1k conversion is easily do-able
saitrix said:Bit far.May have to try and find a friendly local MR2 owner round this way. Just how will I do that I don't know.
